Advertising Information
This site is my hobby—it's done on a volunteer
basis and it takes plenty of time and resources. Your sponsorship dollars help to keep the site going.
The standard ad size is 150 pixels by 180 pixels, which is roughly 2 inches by 2.5 inches. It looks like this:
It sits above the calendar like the ones already on the page. Your ad
may link to more information: your venue's Web site, gig details, or,
in the case of an event, a larger poster.
Clubs, venues, promoters, businesses: Ongoing ad rates are $15 per month or $10 per month when bought three
months or more at a time.
Event/gig ads: One-time event or gig ads are $10 and run no more than two
weeks prior to the event. Generally they get pulled
right after the event.
Musicians and charity events: Bands,
musicians, and performers who provide Web-ready event ads in
the standard
size will be charged a special rate: $5 for that ad. I may be able
to size down your poster or promotional brochure to fit the ad space.
Charities who are sponsoring one-time fundraisers are also eligible for this reduced rate.
Larger and irregular-shaped ads are available upon request. Rates and
page positioning for those are negotiable (but more than standard
size). I greatly prefer Web-ready ads but can work with you to create
or modify your material.
